HORSESHOE CABLE PANEL
(Over 8 stitches)
Row 1 (RS) Knit 8
Rows 2 and 4 Purl 8
Row 3 Slip 2 stitches to on and hold to front knit 2, knit 2 from cn and hold to back, knit 2, knit 2 from cn.
Rep rows 1-4 for horseshoe cable panel,
Cast on 42 stitches (multiple of 14).
BASE TRIANGLES
Work 3 Base Triangles same as for Stockinette Stitch sample, working 14 stitches for each triangle (instead of 8)
RH CORNER TRIANGLE
Work RH Corner Triangle same as for Stockinette Stitch sample, working 14 stitches (instead of 8)
RS RECTANGLES
*Pick-up row (RS) Pick up and knit 14 stitches evenly along edge of next triangle/rectangle, turn.
Row 1 (WS) Knit 3, purl 8, knit 3, turn
Row 2 Purl 3, work row 1 of horseshoe cable panel over 8 stitches, purl 2, spp (with last st of rectangle and first stitch of next triangle/rectangle), turn.
Row 3 Knit 3, work row 2 of horseshoe cable over 8 stitches, knit 3.
Row 4 Purl 3, work row 3 of horseshoe cable over 8 stitches, purl 2, spp
Row 5 Knit 3, work row 4 of horseshoe cable over 8 stitches, knit 3
Rows 6-28 Repeat rows 2-5, keeping center 8 stitches in horseshoe cable as established. Do not turn at end of last row.
Rep from * across row -2 RS
Rectangles have been worked.
LH CORNER TRIANGLE
Work LH Corner Triangle same as for Stockinette Stitch sample, working 14 stitches (instead of 8)
WS RECTANGLES
Pick-up row (WS) Pick up and purl 13 stitches evenly along edge of triangle fust worked -14 stitches on RH needle. Turn.
*Row 1(RS) Purl 3, work row 1 of horseshoe cable over 8 stitches, purl 3, turn.
Row 2 Knit 3, work row 2 of horseshoe cable over 8 stitches, knit 2, slip slip knit (with last st of rectangle and first st of next triangle/rectangle), turn.
Rows 3-28 Repeat rows 1-2, keeping center 8 stitches in hoeshoe cable as etablished
Do not turn at end of last row.
Next row (WS) Pick up and P14 stitches evenly along edge of next RS Rectangle.
Rep from *across row -3 WS
Rectangles have been worked.
Turn.
** Work 1 RH Corner Triangle.
Work 1 row of RS Rectangles.
Do not turn.
Work 1 LH Corner Triangle.
Work 1 row of WS Rectangles.
Rep from ** to desired length ending with a LH Corner Triangle completed -1stitch remains on the needle. Do not turn.
