 I'm a home bird really. I like to spend my free time around the house or in the garden and online. The goal is to find out beautiful knitting patterns. That is the fastest way to search for a pattern i need.


Entrelac is an extremely popular subject to knit patterns about. The colorful pattern of various designs makes me feel so fascinate.

I have never knitted a socks. I think it very difficult  to carry out. If you like, you can knit it. Please refer to these directions as well as the model below.

Size: One size (8” arm circumference)
Materials:


      Noro Kureyon Sock [70% wool, 30% nylon; 462 yds per 100g]; color: 185; 1 skein
      Recommended needle size: 1 set US #1/2.25mm double-point needles or size to obtain gauge.
      Stitch Markers
      Crochet hook
Gauge: 36 st = 4” in stockinette st


Directions:


CO 72 st.  Distribute over 3 needles.
Place marker and join in the round. [k2, p2] around.
Repeat for 10 rows.
K all stitches.  Repeat for 10 rows. 

Set-up for entrelac:
1st tier:
      Row 1: ssk, turn.

      Row 2: p1, turn.
      Row 3: sl 1, k1, turn.
      Row 4 and all even: purl back to marker, turn.
      Row 5: sl 1, k2, turn.
      Row 7: sl 1, k2, ssk, turn.
      Row 9: sl 1, k4, turn.
      Row 11: sl 1, k5, turn.
      Row 13: sl 1, k5, ssk, turn.
      Row 15: sl 1, k7, turn.
      Row 17: sl1, k8, do not turn.  Place marker.
Repeat rows 1-17 5 more times. [54 st]
On last repeat, (Row 18): turn, p9.


2nd tier: Right-slanting blocks (you’ll need to remove markers as you go)
      Row 1: Pick up 9 st along edge, sl last picked up st back to left needle, p2tog, turn.
      Row 2: sl 1, k8, turn.
      Row 3 and all odd: sl 1, p7, p2tog, turn.
      Row 4 and all even: k9, turn.
    Repeat rows 3 and 4 until all stitches of adjacent triangle are “used” up, ending on an odd row.  On last repeat of row 3, do not turn.
Repeat from row 1 five more times.
On last repeat, turn, k9.



3rd tier: Left-slanting blocks
      Row 1: Pick up 9 st along edge, sl last picked up st back to left needle, ssk, turn.
      Row 2: sl 1, p8, turn.
      Row 3 and all odd: sl 1, k7, ssk, turn.
      Row 4 and all even: p9, turn.
    Repeat rows 3 and 4 until all stitches of adjacent triangle are “used” up, ending on an odd row.  On last repeat of row 3, do not turn.
Repeat from row 1 five more times.
On last repeat, turn, p9.



4th tier: same as 2nd.


5th tier: same as 3rd.


6th tier: same as 2nd.


7th tier: same as 3rd.


8th tier: same as 2nd.


9th tier:
      Row 1: Pick up 8 st along edge, sl last picked up st back to left needle, ssk, turn.
      Row 2: sl 1, p7, turn.
      Row 3 and all odd: sl 1, k6, ssk, turn.
      Row 4 and all even: p8, turn.
    Repeat rows 3 and 4 until all stitches of adjacent triangle are “used” up, ending on an odd row.  On last repeat of row 3, do not turn.
Repeat from row 1 five more times.
On last repeat, turn, p8. [48 st]



10th tier:
      Row 1: Pick up 8 st along edge, sl last picked up st back to left needle, p2tog, turn.
      Row 2: sl 1, k7, turn.
      Row 3 and all odd: sl 1, p6, p2tog, turn.
      Row 4 and all even: k8, turn.
    Repeat rows 3 and 4 until all stitches of adjacent triangle are “used” up, ending on an odd row.  On last repeat of row 3, do not turn.
Repeat from row 1 five more times.
On last repeat, turn, k8.



11th tier: same as 9th.



12th tier:
      Row 1: Pick up 7 st along edge, sl last picked up st back to left needle, p2tog, turn.
      Row 2: sl 1, k6, turn.
      Row 3 and all odd: sl 1, p5, p2tog, turn.
      Row 4 and all even: k7, turn.
    Repeat rows 3 and 4 until all stitches of adjacent triangle are “used” up, ending on an odd row.  On last repeat of row 3, do not turn.
Repeat from row 1 five more times.
On last repeat, turn, k7. [42 st]



13th tier:
      Row 1: Pick up 7 st along edge, sl last picked up st back to left needle, ssk, turn.
      Row 2: sl 1, p6, turn.
      Row 3 and all odd: sl 1, k5, ssk, turn.
      Row 4 and all even: p7, turn.
    Repeat rows 3 and 4 until all stitches of adjacent triangle are “used” up, ending on an odd row.  On last repeat of row 3, do not turn.
Repeat from row 1 five more times.
On last repeat, turn, p7.



14th tier: same as 10th tier.


15th tier: same as 3rd tier.
Thumb:
      Pick up 7 st along edge of next block.  Use backward loop to CO 4 st.
      Row 1: p20.  (11 st above plus 9 from previous block)
      Do st st for 9 more rows.
      [2x2] rib for 6 rows.  BO all 20 stitches loosely.
      Seam along thumb edge, stopping at base of thumb.


16th tier: (right-slanting blocks)
      1st block:
    Row 1: Pick up 5 st along thumb edge and 9 st along block edge. Sl last st back to left needle, p2 tog, turn.
      Row 2: Sl 1, k10, k2tog, k1, turn.
      Row 3: Sl 1, p11, p2tog, turn.
      Row 4: k10, k2tog, k1, turn.
      Row 5: Sl 1, p10, p2tog, turn.
      Row 6: k9, k2tog, k1, turn.
      Row 7: Sl 1, p9, p2tog, turn.
      Row 8: k8, k2tog, k1, turn.
      Row 9: Sl 1, p8, p2tog, turn.
      Row 10: k7, k2tog, k1, turn.
      Row 11: Sl 1, p7, p2tog, turn.
      Row 12: k9, turn.
      Repeat rows 11 and 12 two more times.  Repeat row 11, do not turn.
      Blocks 2-5: same as 2nd tier.


17th (last) tier:
      Row 1: Pick up 9 st along edge, sl last picked up st back to left needle, ssk, turn.
      Row 2: p8, w&t.
      Row 3: k7, ssk, turn.
      Row 4: p7, w&t.
      Row 5: k6, ssk, turn
      Row 6: p6, w&t.
      Row 7: k5, ssk, turn
      Row 8: p5, w&t.
      Row 9: k4, ssk, turn
      Row 10: p4, w&t.
      Row 11: k3, ssk, turn
      Row 12: p3, w&t.
      Row 13: k2, ssk, turn
      Row 14: p2, w&t.
      Row 15: k1, ssk, turn
      Row 16: p1, w&t.
      Row 17: ssk, do not turn.
Repeat rows 1-17 four more times, then pick up 12 st off of “thumb” block (1st block of 16th tier).


Next row: ( Note: In each wrapped stitch, pick up and knit wrap along with stitch.)
      [k3, m1] 15 times total, k12. [72 st]
K next 10 rows.
[2x2] rib next 10 rows.
BO all st loosely.
Weave in ends.
